The rise of side hustles among millennials and Gen Z is phenomenal, with over 50% of millennials and 70% of Gen Z engaged in side hustles. Having had multiple side hustles myself, I recognized the need for high-quality legal representation that is accessible and affordable. These entrepreneurs deserve a personal touch that doesn't break the bank, which inspired me to start SideHustle.Law.
Initial Challenges
The journey wasn't without its challenges. The biggest hurdle was figuring out how to attract clients. To overcome this, I:
Joined local and national bar associations, including the New York State Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Dominican Bar Association of New York.
Created educational content for social media and blogs to improve the SEO of my website.
Spoke at over 40 conferences on emerging technology like NFT NYC and Hola Metaverso across three continents in two languages, putting myself out there and building my network.

By helping founders from outside the United States secure their trademarks in the States, we can foster a more inclusive and diverse entrepreneurial landscape. Recently, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) implemented a new rule that requires foreign-domiciled trademark applicants, registrants, and parties to be represented by a licensed U.S. attorney. This means that if you are a founder living abroad and wish to secure your trademarks in the U.S., you need U.S. representation. This expansion will enable more entrepreneurs to protect their brands and innovations, ensuring their businesses thrive in a competitive market.
